Micro-needling skin treatments noticeably improve ageing skin in just one treatment for smooth younger looking skin instantly..

Microneedling for Face

Micro-needling on the face is a fantastic alternative to wrinkle injections, filler, glycolic or TCA skin peels and micro-dermabrasion for skin rejuvenation.

As it stimulates the production of new collagen, tightens and firmes the skin and evens out skin tone without removing the epidermal layer of your skin which makes is safe to treat all skin types.

  • Collagen and elastine production
  • Hydration + brightening
  • Reduces fine lines + wrinkles
  • Skin tightening + firming

What is Micro Needling?

Micro-needling treatment is the penetration of tiny thin needles into the skin at various depths from approx 1mm to 0.1mm depth. This targets the hypodermis layer to cause an inflammatory response that triggers the natural production of collagen and elastin.

As the needles penetrate, they cause trauma to the skin. This stimulates the fibroblasts (the part of our immune system that binds the skin together) and triggers a natural healing response that boosts the collagen and elastin that’s made naturally by the body.

To enhance the results of micro-needling there are two types of treatments. The options are to either add mesotherapy serums or radio frequency energy. You can have both but just not at the same time as the high level of focus energy from the Radio Frequency Microneedling will destroy the active ingredients in the Mesotherapy Serum so hence there are two types of Microneedling skin treatments - but both are equally as wonderful, effective and long lasting when looking to improve aging skin.

meostherapy

Mesotherapy serum such as hyaluronic acid and active nutrient-dense serums [NCTF135HA Fillmed] are penetrated deep into the dermal layer to influence your skin health cells by placing the nutrition and cytokine support where it's needed to regenerate firmer and stronger skin..

radio-frequency

Focused Radio Frequency sends a high level of energy down the needles into the dermis layer to create the inflammatory response by the fibroblast to produce more collagen and elastin with the outcome of firmer skin instantly and long-lasting

What are the benefits of micro-needling?

Skin Micro-needling is the most effective non-evasive pro-ageing facial treatment you can have to improve your skin health.

It’s a long-lasting anti-aging skin treatment and especially good for issues like lack of tone, loose skin, and improving firmness. I’ve also seen fantastic results on large open pores,  pigmentation, and historical scars.

It can be used on all skin types and unlike micro-dermabrasion and skin peels, you can have micro-needling at any time of the year without any risks.

Are you wondering how much it costs to have regular skin treatments?

Micro-Needling [FAQs]

Micro-needling is the penetration of tiny thin needles into the skin at approx 0.8mm to 1mm depth. This targets the hypodermis layer to cause an inflammatory response which triggers the natural production of collagen and elastin.

Products such as hyaluronic acid and active nutrient-dense serums can be penetrated deep into the dermal layer of the skin to influence your skin health for the following month.

The needling action stimulates the fibroblasts (the part of our immune system that binds the skin together) triggering a natural healing response that boosts collagen and elastin that’s made naturally by the body.

It's important to combine these types of trauma treatments into your skin health treatment plan.

Yes, all skin types will benefit from micro-needling. unlike micro-dermabrasion and skin glycolic peels.

You can have micro-needling at any time of the year as the epidermis layer of your skin remains intact.

SPF 50+ must be applied every day to maintain good quality skin health.

The speed and size of the needles reduce discomfort during treatment. Both the depth and the speed can be customised to make sure you’re comfortable throughout.

Laser treatments use heat, micro-needling doesn’t. Micro-needling is non-thermal and non-surgical so it can be performed on all skin types with reduced risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation or formation of fibrotic scar tissue.

The actual skin micro-needling only takes around 20 minutes, but the full treatment takes between 45 and 60 minutes. I’ll cleanse the skin and apply some soothing serums first, then micro-needle. Afterwards, I’ll apply a mask, cleanse again and finish with some more gentle serums and creams.

Expect your face to be red and a little bit sore for up to 36 hours afterwards. It may also feel dry and tight for several days, a little like you have sunburn. These are natural responses to the trauma caused during the treatment.

Hyaluronic acid is ‘hyperlipic’ – this means it attracts water and pulls it down so after 14 days your skin will feel wonderfully soft and hydrated.

Yes, the results are instant. You’ll both see and feel a firmness and a lifting and tightening immediately after your first micro-needling treatment. Your skin will feel plumped and smoother.

Yes, you can apply serums and moisturisers as normal. Hydrating serums are especially good – I can advise on a hyaluronic acid post-treatment which will ease the tightness.

My advice is to use B3 Recovery cream - take a look

It’s best to wait 24 hours before exercising. The technique increases blood flow to the surface of the skin and exercise can cause it to sting. It won’t affect the results, but it might be uncomfortable.

You can, although I recommend you wait 24 hours before applying a full face of evening make-up.

One treatment will give you results. A skin health treatment protocol will give you lasting, visible results. Each treatment should be four weeks apart and spread over a 12 week period. After that, a treatment every 6-8 weeks will maintain the results and give you firmer, smoother skin.

Deep micro-needling should only be performed 4 to 6 weeks apart.

You must allow at least two weeks post-treatment to allow your skin to heal before having any other skin procedure.

Ideally, your first treatments should be skin rejuvenation only [within 0.6mm] in skin, then micro-needling can be introduced four weeks apart over a 12 week period and then every 6-8 weeks after that.

For aged, lack of toned skin oddly you need more time between treatments. So those who need micro-needling the most actually must have it the least for the optimum result! That's skin you..

Micro-needling is fantastic for reducing and improving acne scars, even if they’re old scars.

The advantage of deeper needling compared to skin rejuvenation is the deep collagen and fibroblast production to repair the scar,

Yes, you can safely combine it with radio frequency and HIFU face treatment for a lifting and skin tightening.

Micro needling treatments can start from 18 years old.

Yes. I go through a full medical history with all clients before micro-needling to assess any medical conditions and medications you might be taking. If you’re diabetic, we’ll discuss the type of diabetes and how you manage it.
